It's been a while from the last update. I was slammed with works and had to move to a new place. But, after more than 4 years, finally I have my own studio that is not also my bedroom.
It's time for the update news, first, I'm moving pretty good in finishing up Return to Labyrinth vol.2 (Tokyopop) and I can promise you that the artworks are much better. Second, the 99cents preview issue of my new series Drafted (DDP) will be out in June 2007. Third, the buzz is all over the internet regarding my 25th Anniversary GI Joe wraparound cover, you can check it here. Fourth, more GI Joe packaging illustrations coming out this year.

It's been an awesome years for me and I have to work hard to top that next year. A nice year-end surprise is me being in the 2007 Hot&Freaky People's list from Trax Magazine, along with fellow creative peoples from the entertainment industry in Indonesia. It's good to know that Comic Art is getting the same recognition as other art/entertainment forms.

Update (11/28/06)
After quite long break, I'm back to my drawing table this week for Return to Labyrinth vol. 2 from Tokyopop. I still need to rearrange my studio and find another table to put my printer and scanner though. Hopefully I can find it today. Another news, there's going to be a Collector's Edition (pencil only) of Eberron coming in Feb 2007 from Devil's Due Publishing.

Update (11/14/06)
I'm sorry guys for the slow update lately. I just moved and it's been hard for me to find and setup my new place, plus getting sick few times in a month...sigh. Finally I got internet access last Sunday so I can put new stuffs here.

First, I just finished illustrating a short story for Cthulhu Tales, written by Henry Alonso Myers (CSI, Charmed).
Second, I put 2 new images of some Sigma6 toys that I illustrated at the Toys section.
Third, I will start drawing Return to Labyrinth volume 2 very soon.
Fourth, along with bunch of friends here, we're collaborating to produce a graphic novel next year called VAIANG.
And the last one, there's a new top secret project coming in 2007 from me and 2 of my mentors. More announcement later.

Update (10/08/06)
I bought the Sigma 6 TPB vol.1 yesterday. I will put the cover images up as soon as I can get my hand on a scanner.

Return to Labyrinth article at Newsarama with Jake Forbes here. I still have no luck in finding a copy for myself, Borders Chicago sold out the book and the new shipment will arrive on Tuesday. Somebody brought 2 copies to be signed today.

Update (07/27/06)
Just came back from SDCC last week. It's great for me because the Jim Henson/Tokyopop's panel and the signings were doing very well. Return to Labyrinth was sold out on Friday, Tokyopop brought in as many copies as they could on Saturday and they're sold out instantly. I don't even have a copy until now. We gave away about 900 posters during the 2 hours of signings. The book will be in stores everywhere in the next 10 days. So, make sure to pick it up and stop by at my table next week in Chicago if you want it signed.

As for next week, I will be at WW Chicago. I just checked the Wizard's website and there's my name there next to Rob Liefeld. I had people said to me that my name is the shorter version of Lie-feld...ha..ha..ha. I wish I'll be as big as him.

I will have a list for commissions during the weekend on first come first serve basis. I will try my best to do more sketches/commissions this time since I usually only do a limited number due to my comic's workload.

Eberron: Eye of The Wolf will be in stores in August as well.
